Steve White is a native of Paris, Texas. He completed his Bachelor of
Music degree with teacher certification in 1995 from The University of
Texas at Austin. In 1998, he received his Masters Degree in Choral
Conducting from UT Austin. While in graduate school, he directed the
UT Longhorn Singers, assisted Dr. Craig Johnson with UT Concert
Chorale and performed with the Chamber Singers. In the Spring of 1998,
the School of Music honored Steve with its Most Outstanding Masters
Student award. He was Music Director of the annual UT Madrigal Dinner
from 1995-1999. He has performed on numerous occasions with UT Opera,
Conspirare, The Victoria Bach Festival, and the Gilbert & Sullivan
Society of Austin. Mr. White has spent two years on the summer faculty
at the Leysin American School in Switzerland.
He has been teaching choir at Round Rock High School for 14 years.
